Oh the weather outside is frightful!

But the Cardinals are so delightful!
My family got tickets to Monday's night game, and although it was quite chilly and we lost 4-3, we still had a great time! Here are some picture to prove it!

Gross!
This one is for you Amanda! : )
Hot Chocolate was a must on this chilly night!

Sometimes I don't even know...

Sometimes I don't even know where Marta came from! She is so funny and always knows how to make me laugh! Here is a poem that she wrote me. It is interesting to say the least! Hope it makes you smile! Thanks Marta! Love you!

Yo-What up Sis
Life is full of bliss
You are my BFF
TGIF
I really love your bed
I look like your head
You are wearing blue
I love to sing -LU LU
You wear clear contacts
In March Madness You filled out brackets
You are like a Puzzle
Some dogs wear muzzles
You were born in Iowa
I really love ya
Your face and your Mom
You really are the bomb
We sometimes play Taboo
Ghost sometimes say Boo
We really love Jack
You have a good back
From the Office -Fact
I love when we Chat
You love baseball
you are not really tall
You like to eat
We hate we the Cardinals get beat
You don't have man hands
Look I see LAND
Turn off your alarm
You never broke your arm
You have pierced ears
Cheers
You have a cell Phone
Yeah you Pawn
You always smell great
You are older then eight
Have a good day
Go sit by the bay
We like hamburgers on buns
Hope this was Fun!
-Marta

She is going to kill me, but this is my favorite picture of her : )

"A Game Where Fun And Action Collide!"

Demolition Ball!

A few weeks ago our youth group headed out to St. Charles for a little D-Ball fun. If you haven't heard of it before here is the basic idea according to their website...

What do you get when you put hockey, football, polo, and basketball in bumper cars?

One thing, Fun!

The game is Demolition Ball. It is played in a supercharged bumper car with two five-player teams.

The object: To shoot a whiffle ball through a 16" circular goal using a track ball scoop.

Demolition Ball creates a unique opportunity for people of various ages and athletic abilities to face off in some fast-paced fun while bonding with friends, associates, and complete strangers together. Your whole experience is made complete with music, sound effects, and real live referees who provide highlights on the action.

Demolition Ball, a game where fun and action collide!

And now a video of our own...

We thought we would share our own video made for the series called "Covenant Cribs" which is a spin off of MTV's show called "Cribs" made for our youth group. So sit back, relax, and enjoy a tour of our "crib" given by our very own brother, Noah. Pay close attention to the funny looking guy at the end...We guess you could say "What are ya doing dad? Digging for gold???" Enjoy!

SHLock-In

Marta and Stu won a free game cause they bowled a strike!

This is what happens at 3AM...
biting gummy bears in half and sticking them on our forhead seems like a good idea!
Whose ever stays on the longest wins!

Johanna's bowling team
Marta's bowling team
The Senior High lock-in was last weekend and we had a wonderful time! Johanna did begin to loose it around 3AM though with her "gummy bear game!" We went bowling, played Clint, stayed up ALL night and ate 900 lbs of gummy bears : )

Opening Day 2008

Opening Day began with a bang but was short lived. After only 2 and a half innings played the rain rolled in and the game was rescheduled. Even though we were unable to see the entire game, we still had a wonderful time with the pre-game ceremonies and the opportunity to see Pujols hit a home run! (even though it doesn't count it was still awesome to see!) Hopefully there will be many more! Thanks Amanda for a wonderful day! GO CARDS!!!!

Easter

Our Nana got to visit from South Dakota and spend Easter with us!
The winning eggs!

Every year our family has an egg coloring contest after the Good Friday service, and this year was no different. It was a tradition that began many many years ago. We all color eggs and than we pick one to share with the group and then our mom gives everyone a prize (for example, there is the most religious category, or the color not found in nature category, or the "more dye on the hands than the egg" category) To say our mom gets pretty creative an understatement! But everyone always has a good time and everyone is a winner!

Its Cold Beer, Not Some of that Old Beer its Bud Light!

The over 21 crowd
The under 21 crowd...don't worry Marta...only 5 more years! : )

After living in St. Louis for more then 11 years, we decided that it was time to take a trip through the factory that made St. Louis what it is today...Anheuser Busch! What a cool place to visit (Even if you are under 21!) The tour was really fun, complete with seeing the Clydesdale's, how the beer is made and even a sample of some at the end, of course only for the 21 and older crowd! It sounds like we did miss out on the most exciting event of the day, but that's what you get for leaving early!
P.S. The title is our favorite saying of the beer vendors at Bush Stadium!

To Cute For Words...

You know that saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words." Well, we think this one is worth a lot more than that!

Pretty Much The Funnest Day Ever!

The Thursday before Easter Marta and Noah skipped school (along with Madeleine!) and we hung out all day doing crazy things, like eating at Kayaks with Amanda, Charles and Rebecca and going to DogTown to retrieve the aftermath of the St. Patrick's day parade! Later that night just Marta, Noah, Sam and I went out to dinner and to do a little shopping. The boys had been wanting to attempt the 1lb. burger at Cheeburger Cheeburger and finally got their chance. I will let the pictures speak for themselves with how well that went!

Mission Accomplished!

Attempting to get the pretty beads down! We eventually were successful, but not before all these people had watched our attempts from a window...pointing and laughing were involved!

Yum!

Erin go braugh-Ireland Forever!

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

-traditional Irish poem

I don't know about your house, but on St. Patrick's Day a Leprechaun comes to our house and dyes our milk green and gives us funny socks and little treats! This year was no different! Johanna even got to enjoy corned beef and cabbage at the Farchoirs annual St. Patrick's Day celebration! Yum!

Senior High Semi-Formal

Amanda's flower arranging skills...lookin' good!

On March 8, we had the Senior High Semi-Formal hosted by yours truly, Forrest H. and the amazing Amanda D! Everyone looked fantastic, the food was great and the games were quite exciting (thanks to Amanda and Stu for that one!)

Spring Break

During my spring break I had the opportunity to visit Washington D.C., to observe at an elementary school there as well as see my friend Leah. (I also met some new friends...see pictures below!) This was my first trip to our Nations Capital...and I absolutely LOVED it! Maybe the east coast isn't as bad as I thought : ) Overall it was a great week of relaxing and seeing the sights in the district! -Johanna
